Tint Removal

Removing tint can be a daunting task; thankfully, for you, we love removing tint from windows. We view it as a fresh start for you and your vehicle.

Sunbusters of Augusta uses a high-tech steaming process to remove tint; this allows us to speed up the process compared to other methods.

A back glass on a vehicle will be the most challenging aspect of window tint removal. Most vehicles have multiple defrost strips positioned across their backglass – this helps heat up the backglass to eliminate snow/ice from the window.

We want to ensure we don’t damage these defrosters during the removal process. Once tint is applied to the defrosters, there is no guarantee that the tint can be removed without damaging your defrost lines. Our steam method provides the least chance of removing your defrost lines.

Be patient, as removing tint is a timely process that can take hours. Sometimes the tint leaves glue and can have multiple layers to remove – this is the most time-consuming part and is considered the “worst case scenario” in removing window tint.

*Removal of Tint will require an appointment if it includes a backglass.
